help with a move

my favorite way to help my friends move is to go and get their kids and keep them at my house while their stuff goes from the old house to the new one. last night i let the little ones in transition fill my halls with laughter and squeals. they ran barefoot, up and down, inside and outside, back and forth, and round and round in circles. they played hide and seek for hours. we watched shows. we read books. they made up games and played board games. the girls pupped the hippo tent and spent the night. after i made them breakfast they baked oatmeal cookies. i even let them draw on the walls… they added thankful thoughts to our front room thankfulness wall. opening my home to welcome kids to play and have fun makes me smile. i just love saying, “you are welcome any time.”
